STRATFIELD HOMES ACQUIRES SECOND SITE – HARTLEY WINTNEY

Despite the many challenges faced by us all in 2020, residential developer Stratfield Homes ended last year on a positive note. Towards the end of December, the final sale at its popular Claybourne Gardens development in Ottershaw successfully completed. What’s more, the team is also able to announce a new land deal, which it hopes to be bringing forward for 2021 in Hampshire.

Stratfield Homes has just secured a new site in Hartley Wintney. The vacant Travis Perkins depot, showroom and yard has been acquired unconditionally and will involve careful planning to deliver a traditional courtyard development within the heart of the village. The developer will now be looking to submit a formal planning application at some point in the new year after discussing its proposals with the local community.

Stratfield Homes, which itself has its head office located in the village, was established in 2017 and has just successfully completed its first residential housing scheme. Claybourne Gardens, which comprises 14, beautifully specified three and four bedroom homes, is situated on a private, tree-lined road in Ottershaw, Surrey. The mixture of terraced and semi-detached homes are traditional in their exterior, while inside, the homes have a more modern feel, spread over three storeys. The scheme’s Project Manager was not only awarded an NHBC Pride in the Job Award but also went on to win the NHBC Seal of Excellence putting it in the top 5% of all developments in the UK for quality. All of the homes have now sold.

Paul Cooper, Managing Director, Stratfield Homes, said: “We are delighted to have secured our second site. We are really passionate about delivering high quality homes that meet the need of the local market and having just successfully completed our first residential development, this is perfect timing as we look to continue apace in 2021. The feedback we have had from customers so far has been immensely positive – with the quality and design of our homes proving a major draw for many of our purchases – a trend we aim to continue. Based locally, as a team we all know the site in Hartley Wintney well and we have some exciting plans, which we hope to take forward this year.”
