NHBC PRIDE IN THE JOB AWARD GOES TO SURREY SITE

Stratfield Homes’ Site Manager secures prestigious industry award at Claybourne Gardens – it’s flagship residential development in Ottershaw

Stratfield Homes is proud to announce that its Site Manager, Nick Cutter, has been selected as a Pride in the Job Quality Award winner for his role at Claybourne Gardens in Ottershaw.

Pride in the Job is a highly regarded competition within the construction industry. Winning site managers are required to demonstrate incredible dedication, passion, commitment, and leadership to produce homes of exceptional quality.

From a field of more than 11,000, 450 UK site managers have won a Quality Award in the first round of NHBC’s Pride in the Job Awards 2020, representing the top 4% of those who entered. Being selected as one of the UK’s top site managers is a testament to their commitment to delivering quality homes for their customers.

Paul Cooper, Managing Director, Stratfield Homes, said: “We’d like to offer a huge congratulations to Nick for securing such a highly regarded award. This is a fantastic achievement, especially on our first site and is testament to Nick’s hard work, dedication, and his unwavering commitment to always delivering the highest level of quality for our customers. At Stratfield we are passionate about delivering homes of an exceptional standard – an ethos that we feel is shared across our whole team, from our individual staff members to the suppliers and subcontractors who we appoint to work alongside us.”

Subject to the NHBC team of judges being able to visit sites over the next two months, the Quality Award winners will now go on to compete for Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards that are planned to be announced at a series of virtual events in the autumn, with the Supreme Award winners unveiled in January 2021.

One purchaser, who has already moved into their new home here is Melany Roake. Commenting on her new home she said: “Straight away we were impressed with the development. The homes were still being built but they looked well-spaced out and the whole site had a real air of professionalism and quality about it… Since moving in, we have been very happy here. One concern when you are downsizing is that your next property will feel small, but that’s not been the case at all, in fact, our new home is much more spacious than I had imagined it would be.  The layout works perfectly for us, we have a really good sized garden and we love the kitchen – everything is so modern and high tech!”

The NHBC is the UK’s leading new home warranty and insurance provider. Its flagship Pride in the Job Awards is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. The competition is dedicated to recognising site managers who achieve the very highest standards in house building.

Commenting on the Awards, NHBC Chief Executive Steve Wood said: “Pride in the Job has been pivotal in improving the quality of new homes so it’s fantastic to be able to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Despite the numerous challenges the industry has faced in recent times, the very best site managers of 2020 have kept their focus on delivering high quality new homes for their customers.

“At NHBC we are very proud of Pride in the Job, what it stands for and the impact it has had and continues to have across the sector. As our new research shows, it’s no surprise that Pride in the Job winning sites have higher levels of homeowner satisfaction as these homes are without doubt among the best the country has to offer.

“Congratulations to all the 2020 Quality Award winners – be proud of your incredible achievements!”
